The Role

As we move from an exhaustive period of planning to delivery, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Delivery to oversee the portfolio of qualification, planning, execution, and delivery of commercial construction projects on behalf of Deep Green. Acting as our representative, you will manage all aspects of delivery, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards.

This is a hands-on role requiring excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a strong understanding of commercial construction processes and contract administration.

What you’ll be doing
  • Development and administration of the DG delivery function, deploying governance and controls across the business and into third parties.

  • Building systems and processes to enable a delivery function that drives projects, decision making and process, as well as administration of risk and issue management, compliance and legal.

  • Establishment and growth of internal and external teams to enable the delivery function of the business.

  • Acting as the primary point of contact between the client (DG) and external partners, consultants, client project managements, contractors, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Driving the pipeline process for sites through our RIBA based qualification, funding and build process.

  • Defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior stakeholders and partner organisations.

  • Engaging and managing design teams, cost consultants, engineers, and other specialists from feasibility through to construction.

  • Working closely with our legal and commercial teams to lead procurement processes including overseeing the preparation of RFPs, ER’s, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations.

  • Ensuring the administering of contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT) by client PM’s and delivery partners, to manage compliance, adherence to manage and resolve non compliance or deviation where required.

  • Control, Monitoring and reporting on project budgets, timelines, risks, and key milestones.

  • Leading regular project meetings with internal and external stakeholders; issue resolution and management, development of progress reports and risk assessments.

  • Reviewing and approving specification and design documentation, variation orders, and contractor progress claims.

  • Overseeing quality control and ensuring that projects meet regulatory, health & safety, and client standards.

  • Managing handover, commissioning, and defects rectification phases.

  • Supporting post-completion evaluations and lessons learned.

What we’re looking for
The essentials
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

  • Extensive experience in delivery (head of), project management, preferably in a client-side or consultancy role.

  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices, building codes, and health & safety regulations.

  • Exposure to data centre construction and operations.

  • Proficiency in contract administration and understanding of standard forms (e.g., JCT, NEC, FIDIC).

  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, and deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).

  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, MRICS, MCIOB) are an advantage.

Nice to have
  • Familiarity with project finance, SPVs, or capex-heavy industries.

  • Experience of project finance processes and working into investor model.
